Stroke recovery requires patience, consistency, and a holistic approach. Nutrition plays a key role—foods rich in antioxidants, omega-3s, and magnesium support brain healing. Regular movement, including gentle exercises and stretching, helps regain strength and mobility. Cognitive exercises, like reading or puzzles, aid memory and focus. Hydration and quality sleep are essential for brain repair. Herbal remedies such as turmeric, ginkgo biloba, and gotu kola may support circulation and neuroprotection. Managing stress through meditation or breathing exercises prevents further complications. Recovery varies for each person, but with dedication and natural support, the body has an incredible ability to heal itself.

The first video is about improving the balance which is the most challenging aspect of my recovery. I was in a wheelchair for the first couple of months after the stroke. It has improved a lot in the last few months but I still feel wobbly when I go out. At home I am fine and I don’t feel like I am about to fall. I think it is more mental than physical.
